KIRF WILL PROVIDE FULL DETAILS AS SOON AS TIME ALLOWS FROM EMERGENCY RELIEF EFFORTS.
KIRF Projects
KIRF has a successful track record in delivering
critical projects in Kashmir. To date we have completed more than
120 small, medium and large
projects. Tens of thousands of people have benefited directly from these. KIRF focuses on projects in Health, Education, Vocational Training & Fresh Water Supply.
KIRF - Health
The
recently opened KIRF Community Hospital in Jatlan, highlights our
commitment to Kashmir. This
is the largest and most ambitious project KIRF has ever undertaken. KIRF has setup medical centres
and dispensaries in smaller villages. KIRF also runs numerous medical camps throughout the year in
many remote areas with limited or no medical care.
KIRF - Education
Tens of thousands of children have benefited from our education system. KIRF has developed a cost-effective system of constructing and operating education centres, working in partnership with families, local communities and donors (Child Sponsorship). KIRF is committed to providing long lasting benefits for children and their families.
KIRF - Vocational Training Centres & Women's Development
Often the forgotten people in relief & development work, KIRF Vocational Training Centres help young women to acquire new skills. This allows them to
find employment and earn a living to support themselves and their families. These young people prefer to work rather than live a life dependent on handouts.
KIRF - Fresh Water Supply
KIRF implements fresh water supplies throughout Kashmir which provide immediate health, financial, educational and productivity benefits. With the
time saved from travelling for many hours and over many miles daily for water, children can attend
school or women can start work to support their families.
Before the earthquake, these were just a small sample of projects that
were saving lives or making lives for those that need help the most.
Already one of the most impoverished nations in the world, the earthquake has sent Kashmir back another 50-100 years.
KIRF is totally committed to rebuilding not just the projects destroyed by
the earthquake, but entire villages, towns and cities.
Can you help KIRF to continue saving lives and making lives?
